Bahubali, Sanjay Leela Bhansali Are National Film Awards' Winners!

CRB Tech Reviews congratulates SS Rajamouli's fantasy epic Baahubali as it stowed the top honor at the 63rd National Film Awards, which were announced on Monday morning.

Baahubali — which features Prabhas, Rana Daggubati and a portion of the best VFX found in the Indian film industry so far — had ended up one of the greatest blockbusters of 2016, earning over Rs 600 crore at the worldwide box office. It turned into the third most elevated Indian grosser ever, coming up behind Piku and Bajrangi Bhaijaan. 

Among alternate prizes announced on Monday morning were 'Best Director' — gave on Sanjay Leela Bhansali for Bajirao Mastani, 'Best Actor' — given to Amitabh Bachchan for Piku and 'Best Actress', granted to Kangana Ranaut for her double role in Tanu Weds Manu Returns. 

Bhansali had swept the greater part of the Best Director prizes at the main Bollywood award ceremonies this year, including the Filmfare trophy, for his magnum opus on the life and loves of Bajirao I. Shockingly, while Ranveer Singh had won the greater part of the Best Actor prizes for the same film, he was not granted the National Award, with the jury favoring Amitabh Bachchan's portrayal of Bhaskor Banerjee in Piku. The jury termed Bachchan's performance as "delectable and delightful". 

So also, award-season most loved Deepika Padukone, whose turn as the eponymous character in Shoojit Sircar's Piku had won her few laurels, missed out to Kangana Ranaut in the Best Actress category. This is Kangana's third National Award, as she has beforehand won for her performance in Queen in addition to a 'supporting actress' gesture for Madhur Bhandarkar's Fashion. 

The National Film Awards were built up in 1954, and the award service is held in New Delhi consistently, where the President of India gives out the distinctions. The 63rd National Film Awards regarded the best films of 2015. 

The chairpersons of the juries gave over the rundown of the awardees to Information and Broadcasting Minister Arun Jaitley on Monday morning. The service to respect all the awardees will be hung on 3 May. 

This year, the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting likewise announced a prize for the 'most film-accommodating state', with Gujarat named as the winner. 

Senthil Rajan from the Directorate of Film Festivals, said, "We had 16 passages from various states, and this is a noteworthy stride by the Indian government to advance film tourism in the states since this kind of an award will enthuse the states. We picked Gujarat essentially as a result of the endeavors in the direction of ease of working together and help of films and towards the promotion of Indian cinema."
